I Was His Substitute Bride Chapter 32

The classmates who followed her out didn’t recognize Spencer.

The Prescott family had protected him well. They didn’t know who he was. They just saw someone deliberately bullying Cole. They glared at Spencer with pure hostility.

“Who the hell are you? Do you know who Cole is? A star lawyer, just back from abroad. He could sue you into the ground for that punch.”

Spencer’s eyes went wide. “I’ll sue him first for wrecking my marriage. What exactly is his relationship with Victoria?”

Everyone paused. Then scoffed, mocking. “Oh, so another one of Victoria’s pursuers. Cole and Victoria were college sweethearts. Seven years together. Almost got married. What’s so strange about Victoria coming to Cole’s engagement party?”

“Cole is Victoria’s old flame. Back then, Victoria, a woman who never touched a drop, became an alcoholic for Cole. Drowned herself in booze. It hurt all of us to watch. You, just give up chasing her. You’re not her type.”

Spencer’s face went deathly pale. His hands clenched into fists. Veins bulged on the back of his hands.

Cole had recovered his footing too. Even with a bruised, reddened face, he didn’t lose an ounce of presence. “Mr. Prescott, surely you understand the concept of first come, first served.”

Spencer’s eyes immediately went red. He lunged straight at Cole, fists flying.

Everyone was on Cole’s side.

I frowned deeply. Was about to step in—

When Sabrina, seizing the chaos, kicked me hard.
