My Death His Downfall Chapter 01
My husband locked me inside a suitcase as punishment—
All because his first love had once been trapped in an elevator.
“You should experience what Hattie went through,” he said coldly.
Then he shut the suitcase…
and shoved it into the wardrobe.
He didn’t know—
I was pregnant.
Five days later, he finally decided to end my “punishment.”
“I’ll let you out this time,” he said casually.
But when he opened the suitcase—
It was already too late.
My body had begun to decompose.
Leonard muttered, “That jealous woman has been so quiet these days. She’s finally learned her lessons?
“I knew it. The punishment this time worked.”
Reid Kane, his assistant, froze at his words.
“Mr. Farrar,” he hesitated, “you… you still haven’t let Ms. Bancroft out yet.”
A trace of panic flashed across Leonard’s eyes, but he soon regained his calmness.
He said, “It’s fine. She can reflect on herself for a few more days.”
Reid, still uneasy, spoke again.
“Mr. Farrar, the room you locked Ms. Bancroft in has been smelling strongly these days… Shouldn’t we check on her?”
Leonard scoffed, “Smell? I’m not surprised. A woman like her would do anything at any cost just to survive. She’d even eat her own waste to keep her body going. It’s normal that she smells terrible.”
Reid still wanted to say something, but Leonard interrupted him.
Leonard frowned with disgust and said, “Alright. That’s it. I’ll let her out tomorrow. She must have learned her lessons these days. If she apologizes to Hattie properly after she gets out, I’ll forgive her for this time.”
Just as he finished his words, Hattie walked in barefoot.
Leonard’s eyes instantly softened.
“Hattie, are you still having nightmares? Don’t worry, I’ve already punished Lavinia. I’ve made her suffer more than you’ve had.”
While speaking, he pulled Hattie into his arms, his fingertips gently brushing her hair.
“Thank you, Leo. You’re so nice to me,” Hattie said in a soft and sweet tone, burying her face in his chest.
“I think Lavinia has already realized her mistake. I just wanted an apology from her. I didn’t intend to punish her. She won’t blame me, will she?”
Watching their intimate interaction, I couldn’t help but laugh with a sneer. However, no one heard me.
I was already dead.
At the last moment of suffocation and despair, my soul floated out of that cramped and terrifying suitcase.
I became a ghost, and I saw that the suitcase was already soaked with blood.
The wardrobe also had a big lock on its door, looking as if someone was trying to trap me inside forever.
Though I had already become a ghost, that terrifying and suffocating scene still scared me, and I closed my eyes.
That suitcase was small. But in order to stuff me into it, he broke my hands and arms.
I endured the pain and tried everything I could to get out. After realizing that I couldn’t get out on my own, I began to conserve my energy, trying to stay alive longer.
When Leonard stuffed me into the suitcase, he seemed to have forgotten that I was already pregnant.
Keeping this tortuous posture eventually led to unbearable pain in my abdomen. In the end, I lost control of my emotions, but I couldn’t get free.
At the last moment of my life, a strong desire to survive surged within me.
I growled, struggled, and tried desperately to unzip the suitcase with my toenails. I tried my best to grasp a slim chance of survival.
However, Leonard said heartlessly, “You now are terrified, huh? But you know what? Hattie was even more helpless in that elevator than you are now. Feel the pain here, Lavinia, and learn your lesson.”
I helplessly admitted my “guilt”, praying that he could let me go. In the end, when a pool of blood flowed out of my private parts, I completely lost all my strength.
In a daze, I heard Leonard say, “She’s too noisy and still disobedient. Lock her up and let her reflect on herself alone.”
I begged for his mercy in a hoarse voice, but it was useless. They locked the wardrobe, and I could do nothing to change it.
At that moment, the last glimmer of hope in my life disappeared.
