After we logged off, I thanked him. “I really appreciate today. Thanks for streaming with me and helping me rack up so many wins!”
Bryson blinked. “I told you, you don’t need to be so formal with me. Besides, I didn’t just win them for you. You’re a really solid mid-laner yourself.”
He paused, pulling a ticket out of his pocket. He scratched his cheek, looking surprisingly shy. “I’ve been thinking about this a lot over the last few days. Since I don’t want us to break up, I need to prove it with my actions. So, Babe… can I officially pursue you? This is a ticket to my exhibition match next week. Will you come watch me?”
I looked up, meeting those incredibly bright eyes. My first reaction was pure shock. I stammered, “You… you really want to pursue me? But compared to you, I’m just so ordinary…”
Bryson’s eyes widened. “How are you ordinary? You have an amazing voice, and you’re incredible at the game. Honestly, I think you could go pro. And maybe you don’t realize it, but you’re just so constantly kind. Out of everyone in the world, you are completely unique to me!”
My cheeks flushed at his words, and I gently took the ticket from his hand. “Um… I’ll be there next week,” I said.
I turned to make a quick escape, but I felt a sudden warmth on my left wrist. In a brief moment of panic, Bryson had grabbed my arm. He let go almost instantly, yanking his hand back abruptly. A faint blush crept across his face. “So… you’re letting me pursue you. Right, Babe?”
I pressed my lips together and gave a tiny nod.
