A Lowborn Bitch In His World Chapter 07
The faces of everyone inside the room changed the moment they saw Adrian at the door.
Someone stood up in panic, while others forced smiles, speaking hurriedly, “Addy, what are you doing here? This is all a misunderstanding.”
“That’s right. We’re just having a casual meal and talking about old times…”
Before they could finish, Adrian stepped inside.
With a terrifyingly cold gaze, he gave no one a chance to continue.
“Shut up.”
The room fell silent instantly.
Adrian’s eyes swept over the group and finally settled, unwavering, on the man sitting beside the middle seat.
The man’s face was both unfamiliar and familiar.
Adrian slowly turned to look at his mother.
“Who is he?”
Monica’s face paled, her fingertips trembling slightly. She forced a smile. “Addy, don’t overthink it. He is the son of an old friend of mine…”
“An old friend?”
Adrian let out a low yet totally cold laugh.
“You think I don’t know?”
He stepped closer, his gaze piercing directly towards the man. “You look exactly like her first love from years ago.
“So, all these years, you’ve been unfaithful, and you even had an illegitimate son. Is that it?”
The room was deathly quiet.
Monica’s face was drained of all color. Her lips trembled, but she couldn’t utter a single word.
Adrian’s voice grew heavy. “How did my father die?
“Jaelyn and that child…”
He paused, his Adam’s apple bobbing violently. “They were all killed by you, weren’t they?”
“It’s a misunderstanding, Addy! I’m your mother. How could I do that to you, to my husband?!
“Did Jaelyn say something? I told you that girl seemed innocent but was actually vicious…”
“Enough!”
Adrian closed his eyes for a moment. When he opened them again, only complete coldness remained in them.
He turned and ordered his assistant, “My mother has lost her mind. Send her to a psychiatric hospital.
“File the paperwork at the highest security level. She is not to be released for the rest of her life.
“As for this man, send him away. I don’t want to see him again.”
Monica shot to her feet, lunging forward uncontrollably, shielding the man desperately. “No! You can’t do this! Addy, I’m your mother. You can’t do this to me!”
Adrian looked at her, his eyes so cold, as if looking at a stranger.
He waved his hand.
“Take them away.”
Bodyguards stepped forward, forcibly dragging Monica away.
She screamed in despair, wailed, and struggled with all her might, but no one paid her any heed anymore.
The man was hauled up, his face deathly pale.
Adrian said calmly, “Deal with him.”
He added, “From today onwards, terminate all cooperation with the Perez Group.”
One by one, the people in the room were cleared out, until only Adrian remained standing there.
His shoulders and back were ramrod straight, yet he couldn’t stop a slight trembling.
“Find her.”
His voice was terribly hoarse. “Find Jaelyn no matter what it costs.
“I want to see her. If she is dead, bring her body to me.”
Soon, Adrian offered a huge reward for information about Jaelyn’s whereabouts.
The news spread and caused a stir online.
Some posted screenshots of the past scandals, ridiculing Jaelyn.
Some celebrated her disappearance, saying she deserved it.
There were curses everywhere.
That night, Adrian went live on a broadcast.
Before the camera, he knelt down without hesitation.
“I wronged her.”
His voice trembled, yet each word was spoken clearly. “Everything was my fault.”
As the truth was gradually unveiled, the entire internet was in an uproar.
He was the one being cursed now.
That was when Hayley came.
She cried and made a scene, clutching his sleeve desperately, yelling, “You can’t cut off the cooperation. Addy, I’m carrying your child!”
Adrian looked down at her, his eyes icy.
“You really think I don’t know? The child you’re carrying is that bastard’s.
“I already know about your plan.”
Hayley’s face instantly turned pale.
He continued, “Hayley, I only have one question for you. Did you know what my mother did to Jaelyn back then?”
Hayley opened her mouth, stammering, unable to form a complete sentence.
Adrian withdrew his gaze and said flatly, “You should leave.”
Afterwards, he instructed his assistant to launch a comprehensive attack on the Perez Group.
Not long after, the Perez Group went bankrupt.
And Adrian continued searching for Jaelyn frantically.
He felt like as long as he didn’t stop looking, he wouldn’t have to admit that he had lost her already.
