31 Proposals Too Late Chapter 12

31 Proposals Too Late Chapter 12

Anastasia’s eyes brimmed with tears from her grievance, and in the next second, she burst into sobs. She screamed at Tyron hysterically, “You would actually kill me for that bitch? Tyron, I betrayed my brother for you, slept with the murderer who killed him, I let go of my hatred for you, and yet you abandoned me again and again for that woman!”

“Now, you’re even going to kill me for her? Tyron, do you even have a heart? Because of you, I lost the right to be a mother, I lost my uterus, I can’t have children anymore, I’ve become a broken woman, and yet you still want to have women on both sides. What right does Katniss have to compete with me!”

The more she spoke, the angrier and more aggrieved she became. She stood up, clenched her fists, and pounded them against him in defiance.

Tyron’s eyes were filled with icy coldness. Without a word, he raised his hand and pushed Anastasia away.

Benjamin returned once more, only to see Anastasia with her makeup ruined by tears, her hair disheveled, completely devoid of her usual delicate appearance.

“Bring me the knife!”

Tyron spoke in a cold voice.

Anastasia’s face was filled with terror, so much so that she even forgot to let her tears fall.

Tyron walked toward her holding the knife, suddenly grabbing her wrist.

A cold flash of light swept by, and before she could react, blood spurted out instantly!

“Aaaah–!!!”

Anastasia’s agonized screams immediately echoed through the room.

Tyron’s grim face looked like a demon walking out of hell.

“You think you’re worthy to be compared to her?!”

He no longer looked at Anastasia. The blood–stained knife was tossed back to Benjamin. “Find someone to keep an eye on her for me. As for Franklin, I want him to be unable to live, unable to die!”

He turned and walked out of the room, Anastasia’s cries of utter despair and collapse echoing behind him.

“Tyron! You can’t treat me like this!”

“You clearly love me the most! You clearly chose to give up Katniss for me! Tyron, come back to me!”

***

Late at night, Tyron sat alone in the home he once shared with Katniss.

The home where he once said: when they grew old and their children were no longer around.

This place would be the final destination for him and Katniss.

But clearly, they hadn’t grown old yet.

Yet both Leon and Katniss had already left him!

Empty liquor bottles piled up on the floor, forming a chaotic graveyard of glass.

When Tyron once again slammed his forehead against the cold wall, he finally tasted the metallic tang of blood, as if it was exactly the same as the taste of Katniss’s tears.

Tyron clenched tightly in his palm the silver ring that Katniss had, at some point, taken off.

He had given Katniss countless luxury goods and jewels, but only this ring had she always worn on her hand.

He still remembered that this plain silver ring was the one Katniss had taken a liking to when they were strolling through the night market.

Ten dollars was a luxury for them back then, when their pockets were empty.

She smiled with her eyes curved, “Tyron, when we get married, I want this as my wedding ring.”

She had said it casually, but Tyron remembered it deep in his heart.

During a mission, he risked his life in the chaos to protect the gang boss at the time.

He barely survived, and the gunshot wound to his chest nearly cost him his life.

But when Tyron regained consciousness, his body wrapped in bandages, he ran desperately to the night market and bought that plain ring.

Later, he knelt before Katniss, who was crying uncontrollably, and begged her to marry him.

The ring burned in his palm, hurting more than shattered glass. The alcohol scorched his stomach, but it couldn’t ex- tinguish the images replaying endlessly before his eyes.

When Katniss was taken hostage, her pale face looked as fragile as porcelain.

How could he have been so confident, thinking that leaving her there would keep her sate?!

Tyron let out a desperate, animalistic howl of anguish, his heart aching as if someone had reached into his chest and twisted every blood vessel into knots of despair.

At that moment, the front door was suddenly flung open with a bang.

“Tyron, there’s something suspicious about Katniss’s death!”
