The Esports Superstar Is Mine Chapter 06
For the next few days, I had been feeling down, and I couldn’t seem to muster any energy.
After class on Friday, I saw a message from Elliana in the group chat.
“The organizer gave me a few tickets to Denver. Wanna go?”
I exited the group chat, about to ask Philip whether Killian was going, then I thought better of it — what did it have to do with me whether he went or not?
I replied, “Yes, I’ll go.”
Not long after, Killian’s message popped up: “I’m going too.”
Early the next morning, Philip drove over to pick me up. Elliana immediately called shotgun.
Killian sat in the back, wearing a black turtleneck sweater that made him look even more aloof. His brows and eyes were lowered, and he exuded a strong sense of distance.
Silently, I pulled open the rear door and sat down beside him.
Elliana offered me breakfast and coffee.
“Syl, what’s wrong? You look so listless. Are you not feeling well?”
I took them and nodded. “My head’s a little dizzy, but I’m fine.”
“Then get some sleep. I’ll wake you when we get to the airport.”
Killian looked over at me, his lips moving, but he didn’t say anything.
My head was spinning, and getting up early only made it worse. Before long, I dozed off.
In a haze, I felt someone touching my head. Warm fingers gently massaged my temples, and it felt so good.
When I woke again, I realized I was leaning on Killian’s shoulder.
I jerked away at once, lowering my head. “Sorry!”
“It’s fine. Let’s go!”
