Blair, watching from the gallery, eyes flew wide. She shot to her feet. “You’re slandering me. That’s definitely an AI deepfake. Can the Prescott family not find someone to fix a camera? The surveillance was completely destroyed. Your hair was found at the scene. How dare you frame me.”
I said, coldly, “That’s because someone didn’t want it fixed. With how favored you are by the Prescott family, I’m sure ordering the maintenance staff not to fix it—and grabbing a few strands of my hair from the home I share with Spencer—wasn’t hard for you. Blair, why did you steal the secrets? Weren’t my in-laws good enough to you?”
The moment the words left my mouth, Mr. and Mrs. Prescott’s expressions shifted. Became thoughtful. Then they stared at Blair in shock.
Clearly, Blair must have used some excuse to visit my home with Spencer.

The gavel fell. Court was adjourned. But all present personnel were forbidden from leaving.
Sabrina and Blair went to the restroom together.

Cole brushed past my shoulder. Walked up. Stood in front of Sabrina. Said, calmly, “Sabrina, it was you, wasn’t it? No wonder I noticed you spending more and more lavishly lately. Don’t worry. I’ll speak for you. Try to get your sentence reduced.”
Sabrina seemed to have accepted her fate. Nodded miserably.
