Break Up With My Cruel Fiancé He Regretted It Chapter 03
The next morning, I took a taxi to the Gudgion Group building.
Over the past five years, I had put so much effort into this place.
Half of the credit for Benicio’s stable position as CEO belonged to me and the battles I fought for him behind the scenes.
Today, I came to hand over the last of my shares and core business affairs.
When I stepped out of the elevator, the office was unnervingly quiet.
Employees who would normally greet me with respect now kept their heads down.
Several women gathered in the pantry, whispering to each other.
“Have you heard? Mr. Gudgion cleared out Ms. Billingsley’s private office just for Ms. Clorley.”
“I heard. Ms. Clorley complained she had nowhere to rest during her lunch break. Mr. Gudgion had Ms. Billingsley’s desk removed on the spot and replaced it with a luxury bed.”
“That’s going too far. Ms. Billingsley is his official fiancée.”
“Fiancée or not, Mr. Gudgion never cared for her. Look at her plain, dull attitude. She can’t compare to someone as young and charming as Ms. Clorley.”
I stood outside the breakroom, listening to their words without the slightest stir in my heart.
I walked straight toward my office.
When I pushed open the door, the room was a complete mess.
The mahogany desk I had used for five years had been smashed and tossed into the corner.
In its place stood a large pink leather bed.
The business charts on the wall had been torn to shreds.
Xiomara was sitting on the bed, touching up her makeup.
Seeing me walk in, she let out a deliberate gasp. “Oh, Lynn, what are you doing here?”
She stood up and smoothed her business attire.
“Ben said you wouldn’t be coming to the company anymore, so he gave me this office to use as my private lounge.
“You’re not upset, are you?”
Ignoring her, I turned to leave.
I ran straight into Benicio.
He was dressed in a tailored suit and was followed by several senior executives.
He stopped when he saw me. A flicker of surprise crossed his eyes before it turned into a mockery.
“What is this? You ran away from home last night, and now you have come crawling back to the office to beg for forgiveness?”
He slipped both hands into his pockets and looked down at me with condescension.
“I still haven’t settled the score with you for blocking me last night.”
I took the share transfer agreement and business handover forms from my bag and held them out to him.
“Sign them. Once you’re done, I’ll leave at once.”
Benicio stared at the documents in my hands, his brows knotted tightly.
“What do you mean by this?”
“It’s exactly what it says. I’ll sell my shares to you at market value and hand over all core business operations.
“From this day on, I’ll have nothing to do with the Gudgion Group.”
Benicio swatted the documents out of my grasp.
Papers were scattered across the floor.
“Lynn, have you thrown enough tantrums?
“Do you think threatening me with company business will make me give in?”
He turned to the senior executives behind him.
“As of today, Ms. Clorley is taking over all of Ms. Billingsley’s core projects.
“Does anyone have a problem with this?”
