Abandoned By My Alpha And Pup Now Their Rival’s Luna Chapter 07

Darkness

Serena lets out a breathless moan, her eyes flashing with wicked triumph. She throws her arms around his neck, pressing her body flush against his, her voice dripping with heavy lust. “Alpha… I’ve been waiting for this…for four long years!”

The two of them instantly tangle together.

I bite my lip so hard it bleeds, forcing the words out:

“Grayson, we’re breaking the bond anyway. Do you really have to do this right now? Just to humiliate me?”

He stops, his fingers roughly grabbing my chin. “Humiliate you? You lost the right to feel humiliated a long time ago.”

Serena presses against his back, blowing softly against his ear. “Alpha, ignore her…”

He releases my chin, turning back to sink into her embrace.

I squeeze my eyes shut, silent tears streaming down my face.

Until the phone I had dropped on the floor suddenly vibrates.

It’s the pack healer.

I struggle against the heavy silver-threaded cuffs binding my wrists, desperately stretching to answer the call.

A frantic healer’s voice comes through the speaker:

“Luna Maeve, get here now! Lyra heard about the banishment! She thinks she’s dragging you down. She’s up on the Blood Cliff—”

“What?”

“She said… beep beep beep—”

Static cuts through. The line goes dead.

My brain explodes.

“Grayson!” I scream, my voice tearing.

“My mother is on the cliff! Let me go! Please!”

He glances over his shoulder.

A mocking smirk twists his lips. “Nice try. You just called us dirty, and now you’re making up a pathetic excuse to run?”

“I’m not lying! The healers just called! She found out about the pact—”

“Shut up.” He straightens up, his golden eyes flashing with irritation. “You just signed the parchment a few hours ago. How the hell would she know?”

“You know her heart can’t take it! Who else would tell her?”

I thrash wildly against the burning silver cuffs, screaming until my lungs give out. “Grayson! I didn’t tell her! Let me go, there’s still time!”

“She took that silver blade for you and Leo! Please, don’t let her die!”

“Enough!!!” His eyes are completely hollowed out by disgust. “Is she your hostage? Every time you get caught, you play the victim! It’s always either Leo’s age or your mother’s ‘sacrifice’!”

“I’m not—” Tears spill over my cheeks. “This is real, please…”

Serena wraps her arms tightly around his waist. “Alpha, you were blinded by a wolfsbane bomb that day! She only took that blade because Leo was in your arms. She didn’t do it for you. You owe her nothing!”

“Come on… don’t let her ruin this. She’s just manipulating you, exactly like she did four years ago…”

The last trace of hesitation vanishes from Grayson’s eyes.

Realizing he won’t show an ounce of mercy, I throw myself toward the door.

My head slams hard against the heavy oak wood, splitting the skin on my forehead.

He stalks over, grabs me by the collar, and throws me back onto the floor. “Maeve!”

“You asked for this. You’re going to sit here and listen.”

He rips off his tie, forcing the fabric between my teeth and tying it brutally around my mouth to choke out my screams.

Then he hauls me up by the scruff of my neck and shoves me into the massive walk-in closet.

The door slams shut. The lock clicks.

Every last sliver of light is stolen away.

In the suffocating darkness, a sudden, tearing agony rips through my abdomen. The mate bond. He has entered her. I am forced to listen to them, my body burning with the physical pain of his betrayal.

Again, and again…

The next day, Grayson returns to the pack house from a border patrol. He stands in the grand living room for a moment.

Rubbing his throbbing temples, he calls out purely out of habit:

“Maeve, my head is splitting. Brew me some of that tea.”

Silence. No one answers.

He frowns, turning to an Omega maid. “Where is she?”

The maid looks terrified, her voice trembling. “Alpha… I was going to ask you the same thing.”

“Leo has a high fever. He’s been crying for his mom all morning. And… the healers called. Lyra jumped from the Blood Cliff last night. Her body is in the morgue, and no one has come for her…”

Grayson freezes. “What did you just say?”
