Break Up With My Cruel Fiancé He Regretted It Chapter 09

Third Person’s POV

The Tutheridge family’s bodyguards threw Benicio out into the heavy rain.

He rolled through the muddy water, soaked to the bone and covered in filth and blood.

Passersby stepped aside, whispering and pointing at him. Some took out their phones to record the pathetic spectacle.

At that moment, the pride and dignity he had always cherished were crushed to pieces.

Dragging his throbbing legs, he stumbled to the road to flag down a ride. He finally returned to the Gudgion’s residence.

He pushed open the door, and the living room was brightly lit.

Xiomara stood in front of the safe, frantically stuffing wads of cash and gold bars into a designer handbag.

She jumped in fright at the sound of the door.

Several gold bars clattered to the floor with dull thuds.

Leaning against the doorframe, Benicio stared at her.

“What are you doing?”

His voice was hoarse and broken.

Xiomara recognized him immediately. The panic in her eyes faded, replaced by open contempt.

She zipped up her bag and slung it over her shoulder.

“What am I doing? I’m simply taking the compensation I deserve for the years I wasted on you.

“Benicio, you haven’t heard, have you?

“The Tutheridge family has blacklisted the Gudgion Group. The banks have cut off all loans, and every business partner has terminated their contracts.

“Lynn took all the core client documents with her.

“The Gudgion Group will file for bankruptcy and liquidation tomorrow.

“You’re nothing now. You’re penniless and left with absolutely nothing.”

A loud buzzing rang in Benicio’s ears. He stared in disbelief at the woman who had never dared to speak above a whisper before.

“What are you saying?

“You promised you would always stay by my side.”

Xiomara covered her mouth and giggled as if she had heard the funniest joke in the world.

“Stay with you?

“Are you out of your mind, Benicio?

“What could I ever want from you? Your age? Your violent temper?

“If you hadn’t been rich, who would’ve gone out of their way every single day to keep you happy?”

She stepped forward in her high heels and stood over Benicio, looking down at his wretched state.

“Do you truly believe your pathetic company could ever survive without Lynn?

“Every document you signed was prepared by Lynn through countless late nights.

“The stomach medicine you take was specially made for you by Lynn after she traveled from one specialist to another.

“Even those limited edition bags you gave me were gifts from PR contacts that Adelynn used to manage for you!

“She was the one who kept your entire life together. Without her, you were nothing. And now, you’re exactly that — nothing.”

Benicio trembled all over. His eyes were bloodshot as he stared at Xiomara.

“Shut up! Just shut up!”

Xiomara let out a cold sneer. She pulled a stack of photos out of her bag and flung them into his face.

“I’ll speak all I want!”

The photographs scattered across the floor, revealing intimate shots of Xiomara with different men.

“Did you really think I was working overtime every night?

“I was in your office, using your desk to enjoy myself with other men.

“Oh, right.

“The night Lynn’s grandfather was critically ill, the hospital called more than a dozen times.

“I silenced your phone and deleted every single call record.

“You actually naively thought Lynn was just throwing a tantrum.”
