Wake Up To Him Chapter 02

Wake Up To Him Chapter 02

At first, the dreams were quite normal.

Until one time, I realized that not only was he exactly my type, but his body was also near perfect.

So I started getting handsy.

And the dreams spiraled wildly out of control…

I didn’t know who he was. Every time I asked his name, I would forget it completely upon waking.

Only the sensations in the dream remained as clear as if they had actually happened.

I secretly went to see a doctor.

The doctor said it was nothing unusual — just youthful restlessness, totally normal.

Fair enough.

After all, I had never even held a man’s hand in my entire life.

Owen looked down on me, and I had my own agenda.

We’d silently kept a subtle distance between us.

“Your face is a bit red.”

Owen’s gaze stayed fixed on me.

He’d just never seen me look like this before.

I calmly touched my face: “It is a bit warm.”

“Don’t tell me you’ve never been on a plane before?”

“Yeah, it’s my first time. Thank you.”

I was too honest.

It choked back all the mockery Owen had ready.

After a while.

Almost on impulse, he reached over to adjust the overhead air vent for me.

The gesture even stunned him for a few seconds.

“Thanks.”

But I just looked out the window, unbothered.

After landing at the airport, while claiming our luggage.

Owen stepped aside to make a phone call.

“Did you guys invite Kiera?

Okay, see you in a few days.

Girlfriend?

I’ll break up with her after seeing Kiera.”

Seeing me approach, Owen hastily hung up.

“Jade, there’s something I need to warn you about.”

“Hmm?”

“At my house, my parents are easygoing, but you have to watch out for my brother.”

“Why?

Does your brother eat people?”

Owen shot me another strange look.

In the past, I only ever replied with ‘mhm’ and ‘oh’, acting incredibly obedient.

Now that I was close to saving enough money, I no longer bothered putting on an act.

“…My brother has a bad temper and is very domineering. What he says goes, both at home and at the company.

To the point where even my parents are a little afraid of him now.

Just be careful when you see him.”

As unruly as Owen was.

He only showed such a fearful and reverent expression when mentioning his older brother.

“Got it.”

I really couldn’t muster any interest in his family affairs.

But Owen looked even more puzzled: “Aren’t you happy to come home with me?”

“I’m happy.”

I said with a deadpan face.

Owen: “…”

The driver picked us up and drove all the way to the Parsons villa.

Just as Owen said, his parents were quite amiable, showering me with warm greetings and care.

Until right before dinner.

Quentin Parsons came back.

Owen lost all his arrogance, standing at attention like a schoolboy, and greeted meekly: “Brother.”

“Mhm, it must have been a tiring trip.”

His tone was calm and indifferent, smooth and cool like polished jade.

So familiar that it made my scalp tingle.

I turned my head, my eyes widening in shock.

It was him.

The man from my dreams.
