Fake Heiress Real Fall Chapter 05

Fake Heiress Real Fall Chapter 05

The truth was out, and everyone looked at Stella in shock.

“My god, this girl actually framed the biological daughter who just came back?”

“That’s too vicious! She usually looks like such an honest girl!”

Stella panicked. She grabbed Daniel’s arm and shook her head desperately.

“It wasn’t me! Uncle Brooks, you have to believe me, Jasper is just favoring his biological sister and deliberately dragging my name through the mud!”

The roar of a jeep came from outside the courtyard gate.

Two armed guards cleared the way.

The wife of the top commander of the Military Command Base, Maeve Sloane, strode in.

Maeve’s gaze fell on the pile of red fabric scraps, and her footsteps suddenly halted.

Sophia stepped forward to greet her, her voice laced with obvious apology.

“Maeve, I am truly sorry. That red velvet evening gown you asked me to get the fabric for and specially commissioned the Savile Row Master Tailor to make — was shredded by a thief in the house.”

Hearing these words, Daniel’s knees suddenly went weak, and he almost fell to the ground.

This evening gown wasn’t meant for anyone in the family to wear at all!

This was the formal dress for the commander’s wife, Maeve!

That fabric was imported velvet!

The only piece in the entire Military Command Base!

He was sweating profusely from fear, his back completely drenched.

In his panic, the only thought that flashed through his mind was to protect Stella and find a scapegoat!

He pointed a rigid finger at me, his voice trembling:

“Madam Commander! I’m so sorry!

It’s all because of this ungrateful daughter of mine!

She grew up wild and uncouth in the countryside, and ruined your gown out of pure jealousy!

I will immediately send her to the police station to be dealt with by the law!

I will absolutely not tolerate this!”

Seeing Daniel protecting her, Stella grew bold again.

She quickly leaned in, her eyes red and her voice choking with sobs:

“Aunt Sloane, please don’t blame Evelyn… She might have suffered some trauma in the countryside, and her mind isn’t quite right. It’s all my fault as her older sister for not keeping a close eye on her. This is all my fault, and I’m willing to take the punishment for her…”

In front of the commander’s wife, she acted both remorseful and heartbroken, her tears falling right on cue. Her performance was absolutely flawless.

Maeve shot Stella a disdainful look.

“I heard everything loud and clear at the door just now. You stopped at nothing to ruin my dress, and even framed your sister who just came home. Is this how your father raised you?”

At the mention of her father, Stella dropped to her knees with a heavy thud.

“Aunt Sloane! You’ve misunderstood! I didn’t do it! My dad is a fallen hero! He sacrificed himself taking a bullet for Uncle Brooks! I am a Gold Star orphan! You can’t slander me like this!”

“Taking a bullet? A fallen hero?”

Maeve looked as if she had just heard the biggest joke in the world, her sharp gaze shooting straight toward Daniel.

“Daniel. Do you really want me to rip off your rotten fig leaf today, right in front of hundreds of people in the military compound?”

Daniel’s face turned ashen in an instant.

His lips trembled violently.

“M-Madam… wh-what are you talking about… I don’t understand…”

“You don’t understand?!”

Maeve slammed her hand on the table. “Do you really think no one in the Military Commission knows how your old comrade Thomas actually died back then?!”

“He didn’t take a bullet for you at all!

It was because he found those filthy letters between you and his wife!

He got distracted for a moment, exposed his position, and was hit by a stray enemy bullet!”

The courtyard fell dead silent. All the family members widened their eyes and covered their mouths in shock.

So the so-called “Gold Star orphan”, the so-called “taking a bullet for me”!

They were all just lies spun by this hypocrite to cover up his own vile deeds!

Maeve pointed at Stella on the ground.

“How is Stella any kind of Gold Star orphan? You support her with your allowance every month, you treat her a thousand times better than your own biological daughter, and you even let her bully your newly found flesh and blood!”

“Because she is nothing but your illegitimate daughter, Daniel! The bastard child of you and your comrade’s widow!”
