Genevieve almost laughed out of anger when she heard those words.Â
What did he mean by saying it was fake? Did she really need to hire an actor just for him? She did not care at all what he thought.
At the same time, Genevieve felt a bit puzzled.
When they were together before, he always acted indifferent, no matter how well she treated him, he never changed. Back then, Genevieve almost suspected that Anthony’s heart was made of stone, otherwise why could it never be warmed no matter how hard she tried. It was not until Dorothy appeared that she realized he could also have a tender side.
Two years ago, she chose to step back and let them be together. But now, why did Anthony seem to be so deeply attached to her? Even though Dorothy had passed away from cancer, Anthony should not be treating her like this.
“Sorry, Derek is my legitimate fiancé. Our wedding is scheduled for the eighteenth of this month, just ten days away.”
Genevieve’s words struck Anthony like a thunderbolt. Anthony’s eyes instantly turned red; he could not accept it, could not accept that the woman he loved was going to marry another man!

After getting into the car, Derek immediately let go of Genevieve’s hand, crossed his arms and moved away from her, letting out a cold snort.
Genevieve could not help but laugh, knowing he was jealous. Come to think of it, this was the first time she had experienced a man being jealous for her.
When she first started dating Anthony, his attitude toward her was always indifferent. Genevieve wanted to make Anthony jealous to get his attention. So she deliberately colluded with a guy, went to and from work together, ate together, and even secretly posted on Instagram. Genevieve kept waiting, waiting for Anthony to ask her about the guy. But a week passed, and Anthony did not ask anything. In the end, Genevieve could not hold back and asked him if he was not angry seeing her eat and commute with another guy.
Genevieve would always remember Anthony’s answer. He just glanced at her indifferently and then said, “I don’t care.”
Those three words were deeply engraved in her heart, etched into her very being.
And now, just because her ex-boyfriend Anthony appeared in front of her, Derek showed his displeasure so obviously. Perhaps this was the difference between loving and not loving.
Pulling her thoughts back, Genevieve wrapped her arms around Derek’s waist and buried her head in his chest. “Don’t be angry, you’re about to be a groom, and anger will make you look ugly. Don’t you want to be a handsome groom?”
Derek pretended to be angry and spoke. “Are you saying I’m not good-looking?”
Genevieve immediately raised her hands in surrender. “No, Derek is the most handsome man in the world.”
Adrianna and the others sitting in the front could not help but burst into laughter, repeatedly saying they never expected to see Genevieve like this and regretted not recording it with their phones.
The group changed to another place and had a great time. Afterwards, Derek and she lingered downstairs in the neighborhood for a while before she finally went home.
Unexpectedly, when she opened the door, Anthony was sitting on the sofa.
