Abandoned Luna’s Revenge Chapter 68

Abandoned Luna’s Revenge Chapter 68

Sylvia’s POV

If everything worked out the way I wanted it to, I wasn’t going to stop there. I’d also thrown myself into Logan’s arms, I’d grief at the fact that my mate had cheated on me with Selene and through our shared grief and hatred for both Se- lene and Justin it wouldn’t be long before Logan took me as his mate.

This was my ultimate end game plan. I just couldn’t settle with a pack as weak as Frost fang anymore, I deserved to be Luna of a more powerful pack.

Of course I didn’t tell Dad about this part of my plan. He would be upset if he knew the lengths I was going to, and I couldn’t risk him stopping me. This was something I had to do on my own. Once I got rid of Selene and Justin. The two people I hated the most. It would be time to put myself first.

I arrived at the hotel before noon. I had chosen this hotel in particular because it was near the border between Frost fang and Shadow blade. It also was not too crowded and seemed private enough. The type of hotel one would expect a cheating Luna to go to.

I changed into a new outfit, one I’d picked specifically to match Selene’s simplicity. Nothing flashy. Just plain clothes and light makeup. I gathered my bag and extra clothes and carried them back to the car, then locked them in the trunk. I couldn’t risk Justin seeing my personalized license plate. So I drove the car a few blocks away, parked it discreetly, and walked back.

Back inside the hotel room I hid my keys and my phone in a drawer. Then I whipped out the burner phone and crafted another text.

Justin I had to leave that place, Logan was getting too violent with me, could you come see me at midnight? I really need a friend to talk to. I’m staying at the barbados hotel just outside the Iron viper’s border. My Room number’s 306. I need you. Please..

He replied a few seconds later Stay right there, Selene, I’m on my way. Don’t you worry, you can always count on me to be there for you. Always.

His response made my blood boil. Even though my anger at him was boiling inside, I swallowed it down. Anger wouldn’t help me now. I needed his full attention. If I could make him call out Selene’s name affectionately while the cameras rolled, that would ruin him. It would ruin her too.

I unpacked the final items. Two pinhole cameras, disguised as ordinary wall chargers. Cheap but reliable. I stuck one on each side of the bed, both aimed carefully to capture the whole frame. Even if one failed, the other would serve as backup.

Clarisse would be waiting for my text. Once the deed was done, she would come with my laptop, copy the footage from the SD cards, and send the video directly to Logan. The subject line would be “For your eyes only.” I could al- most picture the fury on his face. By the time Selene returned from her spa trip she would be finished.

As I plugged in the last decoy camera my wolf, Lena, whispered in the back of my mind. It isn’t too late to stop this, I know you think this plan will work, but you have to ask yourself what happens if something goes wrong. You’ll de- stroy yourself.

Her voice made my chest tighten, but I forced her presence back. “This is the last time, Lena” I said silently. “After this is over Selene and Justin will be taken care of. Then I’ll find us a mate you can bond with. Trust me.”

She didn’t answer. But I didn’t care.

The cameras were motion-activated. They would start recording once they detected motion by the bed. All I had to do was stand still and wait until it was midnight. He would come. I knew him. He couldn’t resist a desperate cry for help from Selene.

At 11:50, there was a knock at the door. My pulse leapt. He was early.

I pressed my hand to my chest, breathed once, and opened the door.

There he was. Justin. His eyes glistened with so much raw love that it almost sickened me. He wasn’t looking at me, he was looking at Selene.

I forced myself to smile weakly to sell that I fragile and broken. Then I stepped aside, letting him in. I closed the door softly and locked it.

“Are you hurt?” he asked immediately. His voice was low, urgent. “Did Logan do something to you? Did he hurt you?”

I shook my head and let a few fake tears slip down my cheeks. “No. He hasn’t actually hit me. Yet. I’m just. I’m just glad to finally be out of that place.” My voice cracked at the right moment, and I sat on the edge of the bed, burying my face in my hands. My hair fell over me like a curtain, hiding my real expression. “I’m just so sad Justin, I thought I would be happy with him.”

Justin crouched in front of me worried. “Selene. I thought I lost you. I wanted to leave with you, but Alpha Dorian. he threatened my family and forced me to sign a contract. I see now that I should have been braver to stand up to him. I should never have let you go.”

I clenched my fists under the cover of my hair. Trying to ignore the fact that his words weren’t for me. They were for

her.

“I even went to Shadow Blade,” he continued, “I tried to find you, to save you. But when I saw you marking Logan 1 realized. leaving you was the worst mistake of my life.”

The words sliced through me like knives, but I kept up the act, sobbing quietly into my hands.

“Don’t cry Selene” he said softly, pulling me into his arms. His warmth pressed against me, his scent flooding my senses. He lifted my chin gently, “Come with me. Let’s go back to frost fang, with you by my side I can resist the terms of Dorian’s contract, and then you’ll see how much I’ve changed for you. Give me a chance. Just say the word, and I’ll be your mate.”

I swallowed hard and forced myself to play the part. “I.I’ve. ended things with Logan,” I whispered. “Actually the truth is, he did attack me. I was afraid to tell you because I didn’t want you to worry.”

Justin’s brows furrowed. “He attacked you?”

“Yes. I can’t be with him anymore. But you, you’ve always been the one for me.” I played the image of a helpless Se- lene perfectly and he bought it. I could see it in his eyes. When I leaned closer, he didn’t pull away. He was trapped in his fantasy.

His lips brushed mine, carefully at first, then more certain. He kissed me like I was the love of his life.

I let him have it. One last sweet memory. If this was what he wanted, then I would give it to him, because it would be his undoing. I thought of it as a goodbye gift. He would believe he had held true love, when in reality, he was holding a lie.

Once the video was out, Justin would be hunted, punished, maybe even killed. I was signing his death warrant, of the man who had my heart. The sadness in my chest was real, but it wasn’t enough to stop me. I had already stepped too far. There was no turning back.

The cameras blinked silently from the corners of the room, recording every touch, every kiss, every whisper. I tilted my head just so, letting the light fall across my face, ensuring the footage was clear.

“Selene. I’ll never leave you again.” Justin said between kisses.

Perfect. I buried my face against him, letting the lens catch the illusion of our passion.
